Gold Price Drop in Bangladesh has been announced by the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS). Following a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market, the association has reduced the price by a large margin effective from Tuesday (April 14, 2026). The price of 22-carat gold has decreased by BDT 4,432 per bhori compared to the last adjustment on Thursday.
New Market Rates: Gold Price Drop in Bangladesh
According to the latest Gold Price Drop in Bangladesh adjustment, 22-carat gold will now cost BDT 247,977 per bhori (11.664 grams). Additionally, 21-carat gold is priced at BDT 236,721, 18-carat at BDT 202,895, and traditional method gold at BDT 165,279. This sudden drop comes only a few days after the price hit an all-time high on April 8th, reaching over BDT 2.52 lakh.
Along with the Gold Price Drop in Bangladesh, silver prices have also seen a reduction. Currently, 22-carat silver is retailing at BDT 5,715 per bhori. Statistics show that gold prices have been adjusted 54 times so far in 2026, reflecting the high volatility of the precious metal market. BAJUS mentioned that these changes are necessary to keep the local market aligned with international and local refined gold supply situations.
