বাংলাTeachers and employees working at MPO-listed private educational institutions in Bangladesh are expected to be included in the new ninth national pay scale. Under the proposed MPO teachers pay scale, they will receive salaries according to the revised structure when it becomes effective.
According to a high-level government source, employees of MPO-listed schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutions are part of the national salary framework. Therefore, they cannot be excluded from the MPO teachers pay scale.
The sources said MPO-listed teachers and employees will receive salaries under the new scale from the date it becomes effective for government employees. However, their allowance benefits may not be identical to those of government officials.
A senior government official, speaking anonymously, said the MPO teachers pay scale would become effective alongside the implementation of the ninth pay scale for government employees.
The proposed ninth pay scale for government officers and employees has received cabinet approval. Under the new structure, the salary for Grade 1 has been proposed at Tk 156,000, while Grade 20 has been set at Tk 20,000.
If implemented, the MPO teachers pay scale will bring significant changes to the salary structure of teachers and employees working at private educational institutions across Bangladesh.
