Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milan stated on Wednesday that despite having 9,000 vacant posts for religious teachers, the government cannot hire candidates because many madrasa graduates have not mastered the Quran effectively. He addressed these issues during a meeting with SSC center secretaries in Sylhet.

The Minister highlighted that Qawmi students often lack the necessary equivalent degrees required for official recruitment.
