বাংলাThe Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2026 will be held from October 29 to 31 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. The three-day international tourism fair is being organized by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB).
BTTF 2026 will bring together tourism stakeholders from more than 20 countries, according to details announced at a press conference in Dhaka on Monday, September 7. US-Bangla Airlines is the title sponsor of this year’s event.
TOAB President Mohammad Hanif said the participation of international tourism stakeholders will create an important platform to promote Bangladesh’s tourist destinations, build business networks and expand tourism partnerships with global markets.
The fair will feature more than 200 booths and stalls across four themed exhibition halls. More than 220 exhibitors, including airlines, hotels and tour operators, are expected to showcase their tourism products and services.
Hanif said there are some challenges behind the slower-than-expected growth in foreign tourist arrivals to Bangladesh, although he did not specify the issues. TOAB plans to work more actively with relevant government agencies to develop the tourism sector.
BTTF 2026 organizers said the event follows more than 13 successful editions and is expected to contribute to the international promotion of Bangladesh’s tourism industry, create new business opportunities and strengthen regional cooperation.
Nepal, India, Singapore, the Maldives and the Philippines have already confirmed participation. Tourism organizations and tour operators from Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Azerbaijan are also expected to attend.
The event is being supported by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, National Skills Development Authority, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Tourist Police Bangladesh and FBCCI.
US-Bangla Airlines General Manager Kamrul Islam said simplifying the visa process could help increase foreign tourist arrivals. He also said the airline plans to launch flights to 16 new destinations, including Brunei, Bahrain and Delhi.
According to Kamrul, the airline is also planning to launch flights to international destinations such as Brunei, Bahrain, Kuwait, Salalah, Penang and Johor Bahru. Over the next five years, it plans to operate long-haul routes to destinations including London, Rome, New York and Toronto.
