HSC student protest erupted in Bogura as examinees demonstrated against holding exams during severe weather, the difficulty of question papers, and the exam schedule.
Students gathered at Altafunnesa Playground before marching to the Satmatha intersection, where they blocked roads and later surrounded the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The protesters claimed that many candidates from flood-affected areas were unable to reach examination centres, yet the authorities did not reschedule the exams. The HSC student protest also demanded changes to the examination timetable.
Participants further alleged that some questions were overly difficult and appeared to be outside the prescribed syllabus. They called for immediate reforms to address these concerns.
Police said the HSC student protest remained peaceful, with additional officers deployed to maintain law and order. No untoward incidents were reported.
