বাংলাGold prices have risen again in Bangladesh after the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced a new rate. The price of 22-carat gold has increased by Tk 2,741 per bhori, bringing the new gold price to Tk 224,182 including VAT.
BAJUS announced the new gold price in a notice issued on Wednesday morning, July 22. The revised rates came into effect from 10:00 am the same day.
Under the new price structure, 21-carat gold will cost Tk 214,093 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will be priced at Tk 183,883 per bhori. Gold sold under the traditional method will cost Tk 150,232 per bhori.
BAJUS said the increase in the price of pure gold in the local market led to the revision of the gold price after considering the overall market situation.
The new rates will remain effective at all jewellery shops until further notice. Jewellery-making charges will apply according to the design, while VAT cannot be collected separately from customers because it is included in the selling price.
The latest adjustment comes just one day after the previous price hike. The repeated increase in the gold price has drawn fresh attention to the country’s jewellery market.
