After receiving praise for ‘Bonolota Express’, Shariful Raj and Sabila Nur are set to reunite on the big screen. The two stars will headline Kanavula Paradox, a new film blending time travel, romance and mystery.
Produced by Tanim Noor, the film will mark the directorial debut of young filmmaker duo Ayman Asib Swadhin and Susmoy Sarkar. Kanavula Paradox will explore an unusual journey involving time, relationships, memories and mysteries.
The story is primarily inspired by writer Mohaiminul Islam Bappi’s 2024 novel of the same name. The filmmakers aim to move beyond conventional storytelling and offer audiences a different cinematic experience through Kanavula Paradox.
Production is scheduled to begin in January next year, if everything goes according to plan. The film is then expected to be released in theaters during Eid-ul-Adha in the same year, with Shariful Raj and Sabila Nur in the lead roles.
Ayman Asib Swadhin previously worked as a screenwriter and dialogue writer on ‘Kaiser’, ‘Utsab’ and ‘Bonolota Express’. Susmoy Sarkar was involved in those projects as a story writer and chief assistant director. Kanavula Paradox will be Buriganga Talkies’ third feature film.
Following the success of ‘Utsab’ and ‘Bonolota Express’, expectations are already building around the new project. Kanavula Paradox is expected to offer audiences a fresh combination of mystery, romance and time travel.
