Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is facing unprecedented controversy following grave allegations from within the Hindutva political circle. Prolific BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has alleged that several female MPs were granted ministerial positions in exchange for sexual favors. These sensational claims were further supported by renowned Hindutva author Madhu Purnima Kishwar, who shared her own accounts of these “services” in a detailed social media post.
Allegations of Sexual Misconduct and Political Blackmail
In a recent podcast, Subramanian Swamy drew parallels to the Jeffrey Epstein case, suggesting that India should investigate its own powerful figures. He claimed that he could name “three or four women who became MPs and one who became a minister” after allegedly being the Prime Minister’s bed-partners. Following this, Madhu Kishwar echoed his sentiments, stating that these names are well-known within the inner circles of the RSS and BJP. She specifically hinted at the appointments of Smriti Irani, S. Jaishankar, and Hardeep Singh Puri, questioning the nature of their rapid political rise.
Impact on Hindutva Ideology and Global Perceptions
Kishwar, once a staunch supporter who compared Modi to Mahatma Gandhi, claimed she distanced herself from him in 2014 after hearing “horrific details” of his personal life. She alleged that Modi’s behavior makes him vulnerable to blackmail by global powers.
“Those who compromise in this field surrender more easily to the blackmail of India’s enemies than those who are financially corrupt,”
she wrote. Despite the gravity of these claims, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has yet to issue an official response to the allegations.
