বাংলাA sixth-grade student went to a police station in Chandpur’s Hajiganj with an allegation that his parents had beaten him after refusing to let him use a mobile phone. The matter was later resolved through counseling and advice from police.
The incident occurred at around 10pm on Sunday, September 20. Local sources said the boy, Al Amin, is the son of Shafik Mia of Mohonpur village in Hajiganj’s Barakul East Union. He is a sixth-grade student at a local secondary school.
After the teen goes to police station over mobile phone incident, Hajiganj police assigned Sub-Inspector Zahir Hossain to speak with the boy. His parents were also called to the police station that night.
According to SI Zahir Hossain, the boy told police that he became upset because his parents did not allow him to use a mobile phone. He then made an allegation of being beaten. However, the officer said the boy had not actually been beaten by his parents.
The police officer said the teen goes to police station over mobile phone case was addressed through a short counseling session. The boy was given advice and reassured before being returned to his father in a positive mood.
The incident highlights the importance of communication between parents and children when dealing with disagreements over mobile phone use. In this case, counseling helped resolve the situation without further escalation after the teen goes to police station over mobile phone issue arose.
