বাংলাA homemaker has allegedly been sexually assaulted after being taken to Tala in Satkhira on the pretext of receiving medical treatment. Police have arrested two people, including a woman, in connection with the case.
The arrested individuals were identified as Shipra Biswas, 32, and Anup Biswas, 36. Police said another man, identified as Raju, has also been named as an accused in the case.
According to the police and the case statement, the woman from Ghugrakathi village in Koyra, Khulna, had been unwell. She was introduced to Raju through a relative regarding medical treatment. Raju allegedly identified himself as an employee of a private clinic in Satkhira and offered to take her to a doctor.
On August 13, Raju reportedly took the woman from Koyra to Satkhira. Later, she was taken to a rented house near Tala Bridge Mor after being told that it was too late to see a doctor.
The following morning, the woman reportedly managed to leave the house and went to Tala Police Station with the help of a relative. Police subsequently began an investigation into the alleged assault of the homemaker and arrested two suspects.
Tala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Abu Bakar Siddique said a case had been filed against two men and a woman. The victim was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for the necessary medical examination. The investigation is ongoing.
