বাংলাJamaica Kingsmen had booked a flight for Pakistan all-rounder Saim Ayub, expecting the final Test in England to finish within three days. However, Rajaullah’s impressive batting extended the match into a fourth day, forcing a change in the travel plan.
Saim Ayub was scheduled to fly to Barbados on the night after the third day’s play. But Rajaullah’s record-breaking innings for Pakistan changed the course of the match, resulting in the cancellation of Saim’s original flight.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Jamaica had already received permission from the Pakistan Cricket Board to bring Saim back after the third day’s play. Since the Test went into a fourth day, his return to the Caribbean was delayed by one day.
Saim Ayub had been enjoying an impressive season with Jamaica Kingsmen. However, after Pakistan sent seven players home following the second Test defeat, he was unexpectedly called up to the national team and travelled directly from the Caribbean to the United Kingdom.
The Pakistan all-rounder could not make a major impact in the Test series. Saim Ayub was dismissed for ducks in both innings and failed to take a wicket with the ball.
Although his flight was delayed because the match went into a fourth day, Jamaica Kingsmen still suffered defeat against Barbados. The team had also lost to Guyana Amazon Warriors while Saim was away on national duty.
