Students of Government Sohrawardi College and Government Women’s College in Pirojpur staged a protest and Road Blockade on Wednesday, demanding the resignation of the Education Minister.
The procession began from Town Club Road and marched through several key roads before gathering at the CEO Office roundabout. The temporary Road Blockade disrupted traffic and caused congestion in the area.
Despite heavy rain, the students continued their demonstration, chanting slogans against the Education Minister. They alleged that long-standing irregularities, corruption, and policy failures have harmed the country’s education sector.
The protesters demanded the minister’s resignation over recent developments and called for immediate reforms in the education system. They said the Road Blockade was a peaceful movement aimed at ensuring quality education and protecting students’ rights.
The students warned that their movement would continue until the government takes effective action. They described the Road Blockade as part of a peaceful campaign for accountability and education reform.
