A teacher at Nripendra Narayan Government High School in Debiganj, Panchagarh, has been accused of sending examination questions to a student’s WhatsApp before the annual exam.
The allegation surfaced after parts of the English First Paper question reportedly matched the content shared through WhatsApp before the examination. A screenshot reviewed by local media appears to show the questions being sent from an account saved as “Mahadev Sir”.
According to school authorities, the accused teacher, Mahadev Roy, prepared the examination paper. Under the school’s existing procedure, the question setter is responsible for preparing, printing, sealing, and submitting the paper before the examination.
The acting headmaster said the matter has come to the school’s attention and an internal investigation will be conducted. The Upazila administration and education authorities have also announced that they will investigate the allegation and take appropriate action if evidence is found.
Officials from the Secondary and Higher Education Department said leaking examination questions is a serious allegation that undermines the quality and credibility of education.
