বাংলাPolice in Lalpur, Natore, have arrested a man accused of Bicycle Theft after he allegedly stole his nephew’s bicycle to arrange money for drugs. The stolen bicycle was later recovered from Ishwardi in Pabna.
According to police, the accused visited his sister’s house and secretly took away his nephew’s bicycle, valued at around Tk 22,000. After learning about the incident, his sister filed a Bicycle Theft case with Lalpur Police Station.
Following the case, police arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen bicycle based on information obtained during questioning. Authorities said the accused had attempted to sell the bicycle in Ishwardi.
The investigating officer said the suspect admitted during preliminary interrogation that he committed the Bicycle Theft to obtain money for purchasing drugs.
Lalpur Police Station officials said prompt action led to the suspect’s arrest and the successful recovery of the Bicycle Theft victim’s bicycle. The accused was later sent to jail by court order.
