The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially recognized Tamim BCB President, formally validating the current Bangladesh Cricket Board leadership.
Following the ICC Annual General Meeting in Scotland, the governing body confirmed that Bangladesh’s newly elected board president has been accepted as the country’s Full Member Director. This marked the first ICC Board meeting attended by Tamim BCB President.
Tamim was elected as a BCB director on June 7 before being chosen unopposed as board president. Until the ICC recognition was granted, BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury represented Bangladesh at ICC meetings.
The ICC also reiterated the need for Sri Lanka Cricket to hold elections as soon as possible. With the approval of Tamim BCB President, Bangladesh’s representation at the ICC is now officially confirmed.
