বাংলাThe second session of Bangladesh’s 13th National Parliament, which served as the first budget session of the current government, concluded on Wednesday with the Deputy Speaker reading the President’s proclamation.
During the budget session, Parliament passed the Tk 938,000 crore national budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year. It is the first budget of the government formed after the February 12 national election.
The budget session began on June 7 and continued for 26 working days. Budget discussions lasted 48 hours and 51 minutes over 14 working days, with 316 lawmakers participating. Parliament also passed 10 government bills.
According to parliamentary records, thousands of questions were submitted for the Prime Minister and various ministries. The House also formed 11 committees, including a special committee on constitutional amendments.
