বাংলাA Krishak League leader allegedly shot his younger brother to death in Faridpur today. The incident took place near the Boalmari Upazila Fire Service station on Wednesday morning. The victim, identified as 57-year-old Minto Mollah, was killed following a long-standing dispute over paternal property. Local residents managed to detain the accused immediately after the shooting.
Brutal Killing Near Boalmari Rail Crossing
Witnesses claim that the accused, Golam Kabir, lured his brother to a spot near the railway gate. He reportedly fired six rounds of bullets, hitting Minto Mollah in the chest and neck. The victim collapsed in a pool of blood and died on the spot. This brutal act of violence has left the local community in deep shock and mourning.
Accused Identified as Former MP Candidate
Golam Kabir is the Vice President of the District Krishak League and a former independent MP candidate. He is also a physician and a freedom fighter by background. Local sources revealed that several legal cases were already pending between the two brothers regarding land ownership. Police have seized the licensed shotgun used in the crime and are currently interrogating the suspect.
