Speaking at a meeting in Chatkhil on Monday (April 13, 2026), he stated that the mass uprising was not a solo effort but a collective movement involving major political forces like BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.

According to MP Hannan Masud, Uprising Done with BNP-Jamaat has successfully established a unique political landscape in Bangladesh where the revolutionaries serve as both the government and the opposition. He highlighted that Tarique Rahman is also a “face” of this uprising, having struggled against the previous regime for a long time. Masud credited the NCP’s rapid rise and its securing of 6 parliamentary seats to divine will and the public’s desire for a new voice.
While emphasizing that Uprising Done with BNP-Jamaat was necessary to dismantle the “mafia system,” Masud warned that corruption would persist without systemic reforms. He pointed out logistical failures in police investigations and administrative loopholes in aid distribution as key areas needing change. He vowed that NCP would continue to represent the common people and fight against the powerful mafia groups that often control government functions from behind the scenes.
