বাংলাA Dhaka court has sentenced a woman to death after convicting her of murdering her husband and dismembering his body. The court also imposed an additional prison sentence and fine for concealing the body.
According to the case documents, different parts of the victim’s body were recovered from multiple locations in Dhaka in May 2021. Detectives later arrested the accused following an investigation.
Investigators alleged that the crime stemmed from family disputes, financial disagreements, and conflict over the husband’s second marriage. The prosecution said the victim was rendered unconscious before being killed.
The accused was produced before the court during the verdict. After the judgment was delivered, she was sent back to prison to serve her sentence.
The verdict marks a significant development in one of the country’s widely discussed murder cases.
