বাংলাChina has taken steps to simplify the visa process for Bangladeshi businesspeople and visitors planning to attend the Canton Fair. The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka has announced special visa facilities to make it easier for Bangladeshi applicants to participate in the upcoming 140th China Import and Export Fair.
The Chinese Embassy announced the initiative in a press release on Tuesday, July 28. According to the notice, the 140th Canton Fair will be held in three phases from October 15 to November 4 in Guangzhou, the capital of China’s southern Guangdong province.
The special facility is intended for Bangladeshi applicants interested in attending the international trade fair. However, applicants must submit an official invitation letter issued by the fair authorities when applying for a visa.
To facilitate the China visa process, applicants have been advised to upload details of previous visas, travel records and a guarantee letter from their own organization with their online applications. The embassy said the guarantee letter is optional.
The embassy warned that incomplete applications or applications containing incorrect information will be returned. Applicants have been urged to complete online forms carefully and accurately to avoid delays in visa processing and disruption to travel plans.
Changing an invitation letter, providing false information or submitting forged documents could result in permanent rejection of an application. Applicants have also been advised not to have their forms completed through another person or a third-party agency.
The embassy said that no agency or individual has been authorized to provide visa-related services. Applicants were also warned against advertisements promising a “guaranteed visa,” refunds if a visa is denied or access through a “special channel.”
Under Chinese law, only the relevant authorities can determine the validity of a China visa and permission to enter the country. The embassy therefore advised applicants not to trust claims of influence or promises of special treatment from individuals or organizations.
The Chinese Embassy also reaffirmed its commitment to providing lawful and transparent visa services. It warned that disciplinary action would be taken against any official or local employee who attempts to use influence for personal gain.
