💰 Bangladesh’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Increase
✍️ Bangladesh’s total foreign exchange reserves have risen to 34,292.27 million dollars, or about 34.29 billion US dollars, according to the central bank.
The information was confirmed on Wednesday by Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan. According to the latest data from the central bank, the country’s gross reserves stood at 34.29 billion dollars as of March 11.
Meanwhile, under the International Monetary Fund (IMF) accounting method BPM-6, the reserves stood at 29,569.83 million dollars, or around 29.56 billion US dollars.
Earlier, after paying the ACU bill, the country’s gross reserves stood at 34.10 billion dollars as of March 8, while the reserves calculated under the BPM-6 method were 29.38 billion dollars.
It is worth noting that net reserves are calculated using the IMF’s BPM-6 measurement system. The net or actual reserves are obtained by subtracting short-term liabilities from the total reserves.
