In the recording, Sheikh Rehana is heard urging Salman F Rahman to leave immediately, saying, “Do what Shayan and Joy advised. Don’t delay even for a second.” The Sheikh Rehana phone call has sparked widespread political discussion.
The audio was played after testimony from CID forensic expert SI Atikur Rahman during Monday’s tribunal proceedings.
The Sheikh Rehana phone call also mentioned Tulip, Bobby, and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina while discussing safety concerns and possible exit plans.
The case is linked to allegations of crimes against humanity during the July uprising. The tribunal scheduled the next hearing for June 8.
