“NTRCA Will Handle Transfers and Headmaster Appointments”: Minister Milan
The NTRCA Teacher Transfer process is set for a major overhaul as the government aims to eliminate corruption in the education sector. On Tuesday (April 7), during an exchange meeting with SSC center secretaries in Barishal, Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milan stated that the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) will be responsible for the examination, recommendation, and transfer of institutional heads and assistant heads. The NTRCA Teacher Transfer system is being restructured to ensure transparency and stop the “uncontrolled management” of schools, colleges, and madrasas that plagued the previous administration.
The Minister highlighted that under the former government, NTRCA had become a “den of corruption.” He emphasized that the current goal is to improve the quality of education and restore order to non-government educational institutions. Discussing the NTRCA Teacher Transfer updates at the Barishal District Shilpakala Academy, he also recalled the historical contributions of late President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia in transforming the country’s education system.
Improving Education Standards and Transparency
The NTRCA Teacher Transfer policy change is expected to bring relief to thousands of MPO-listed teachers seeking logical transfers. Minister Milan reiterated that merit-based recruitment is the only way forward. He urged center secretaries to maintain the integrity of the upcoming SSC and equivalent examinations.
