Addressing the prize-giving ceremony for essay and painting competitions marking July Uprising Day 2026, he said the end of authoritarian rule came through years of struggle and sacrifice by countless people. According to the President’s statement, this is a glorious chapter in Bangladesh’s history.
The President also stressed the importance of ensuring justice for those who were martyred or injured during the July uprising, describing it as a long-term national responsibility. President’s statement highlighted that their sacrifices must never be forgotten.
Acting Speaker Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Home Affairs Adviser Salahuddin Ahmed, Chief Whip Nurul Islam and other distinguished guests also addressed the event, emphasizing democracy, reform and the values of the July movement.
