বাংলাAfter a long wait, preparations have been initiated for the fifth convocation of Islamic University (IU). The convocation is expected to be held on any one day between February 1 and 3, 2027.
On Monday (September 14), IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. K. M. Matinur Rahman met President and university Chancellor Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban. During the meeting, the President gave consent to organise the IU fifth convocation.
The IU Vice-Chancellor confirmed the matter after the meeting. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Emtaz Hossain and Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Idris Ali were also present.
Graduates from different faculties and departments of the university will formally receive their certificates at the convocation. The initiative has created expectations among graduates who have been waiting for the event.
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. K. M. Matinur Rahman said they discussed the university’s fifth convocation with the President during the meeting. The President gave his consent, and he will select one date between February 1, 2 and 3, 2027. The IU fifth convocation will be held on that selected date.
