বাংলা<p>Uganda national team player and SC Villa captain <b>David Owori</b> has died two days after being critically injured in an attack by unidentified assailants in Kampala.</p>
<p>Police said <b>David Owori</b> was attacked in a suburb of the Ugandan capital on Tuesday. He was rescued by passersby and rushed to hospital, where he later died despite receiving treatment.</p>
<p>The Uganda Football Federation expressed deep sorrow, describing <b>David Owori</b> as not only a talented footballer but also an inspiring captain and role model for young players.</p>
<p>His death comes just weeks after Uganda rugby international Sidney Gangodio also lost his life in a violent incident, raising fresh concerns about the safety of athletes in the country. The National Council of Sports has called for swift justice following <b>David Owori</b>’s death.</p>
<p>Under <b>David Owori</b>’s leadership, SC Villa ended a 20-year title drought by winning the Uganda Premier League last season, securing the club’s record 17th league title.</p>
