The fuel was intended for fishing trawlers relocated from Chattogram due to local fishing bans.

The victim, Siraj Majhi, claimed that 2200 Liter Diesel Loot Noakhali BNP Leader occurred while the fuel was in transit. Along with the diesel, 1 lakh BDT in cash was also stolen. Allegedly, Nizam is now demanding 1 lakh BDT in ransom to return the fuel. While the accused denies the claims, the local police station (Sudharam) has been informed of the incident.
