বাংলাRajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RAKSU) General Secretary (GS) Salahuddin Ammar was expelled from the ‘Sathi’ position of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Rajshahi University unit in 2025 over alleged organizational disciplinary violations, according to three letters issued by the organization.
The matter came to light on Wednesday (September 30) through a Facebook post by former RU Shibir sports secretary Ahmed Munshi. Three letters from different periods were subsequently obtained by the reporter. The documents contain information about Salahuddin Ammar’s expulsion from Shibir and the cancellation of his organizational position.
The first letter, dated February 4, 2025, was signed by then RU Shibir president and RAKSU vice-president Mostakur Rahman Zahid. It referred to allegations involving Ammar and said the matter was discussed at the branch’s monthly secretariat meeting on February 3. The meeting decided to suspend his Sathi position pending further action.
The letter stated that further organizational measures would be taken if the allegations were established. A second letter dated September 11, 2025 said his Sathi position had subsequently been cancelled after alleged violations of organizational discipline continued despite repeated opportunities for correction.
A third letter, signed by current RU Shibir president Mujahid Faisal on July 31, 2026, also referred to the decision. It mentioned several allegations against Ammar, including alleged misconduct, violations of organizational rules, financial dealings and activities described by the organization as contrary to its principles.
The third letter said his Sathi position was cancelled at the September 2025 monthly secretariat meeting after he allegedly failed to provide satisfactory responses to the allegations. It also expressed organizational concern about some of his subsequent activities.
The document further requested members to refrain from making positive or negative comments about Ammar’s online and offline activities and said only elected RAKSU officials should maintain official communication with him.
In a Facebook post, former RU Shibir sports secretary Ahmed Munshi also raised questions about Ammar’s current relationship with Shibir and Jamaat. Those statements are presented as his own claims.
Multiple attempts were made to contact RAKSU GS Salahuddin Ammar for comment, but he did not respond to phone calls or a text message, according to the report.
Asked about the authenticity of the letters, RU Shibir Secretary Hafez Mehedi Hasan said the letters were genuine and confirmed that Ammar had been expelled from Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir in 2025.
