His performances have strengthened Kylian Mbappe‘s position in the Ballon d’Or discussion. He believes being a Real Madrid player naturally puts him among the names considered for the prestigious award.
Mbappe said Real Madrid’s status as one of the world’s leading clubs means its players are regularly linked with the Ballon d’Or. He also pointed to his performances in major competitions as a reason why this could be a strong year for him.
However, Kylian Mbappe acknowledged that voters will make their decisions based on their own judgments. His best previous Ballon d’Or finish came in 2023, when he ranked third as a Paris Saint-Germain player.
