The acting district primary education officer confirmed the matter. The suspended individuals include an acting head teacher and an assistant teacher associated with a government primary school in Begumganj.
According to the suspension orders, authorities took action after allegations of misconduct and the circulation of an inappropriate video online were said to have damaged the image of primary education. The teachers suspended over viral video action was taken under the relevant provisions of the Government Service Act.
Education office sources said allegations involving the two teachers had previously been investigated in 2025. They were later attached to different schools, although their official workplace remained unchanged.
The matter resurfaced after the video was circulated on social media in recent weeks. Authorities subsequently decided on the teachers suspended over viral video action while a departmental case was also initiated.
Officials said the video circulating online was allegedly recorded in December of the previous year. The circumstances surrounding the incident are part of the ongoing departmental investigation.
