বাংলাAn elderly woman was allegedly killed during a burglary in Kachua Upazila of Chandpur, according to her family. The incident took place late Sunday night in Berkota village and has shocked the local community.
The victim, 75-year-old Fatema Begum, was the wife of the late Sadek Ullah Miah. Family members alleged that intruders entered the house by cutting through the wall and attacked her while she was asleep.
According to the family, the attackers fatally injured the woman with a sharp weapon before fleeing with valuables from the house.
Police visited the scene, collected evidence, and launched an investigation. The body has been sent for an autopsy as authorities work to identify those responsible.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing, and legal proceedings will continue based on the findings.
