Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has departed from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka for Bogura by road, marking his first visit to his home district since assuming office.
The day-long tour includes several major events, making the Bogura visit a significant occasion both politically and developmentally.
He is scheduled to inaugurate Bogura as the country’s 13th city corporation, along with launching multiple infrastructure and legal initiatives.
During the Bogura visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate a measles vaccination campaign in Gabtoli, highlighting healthcare priorities.
In the afternoon, he will address a public rally organized by BNP, adding political importance to the Bogura visit.
The visit will conclude with inaugurations of the Bogura Press Club building and reconstruction of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque.
Experts believe this Bogura visit reflects both development goals and political engagement.
