বাংলাAt least 11 people were killed in a bomb attack targeting a police checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan district of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Several others were injured, according to rescue officials cited by local media.
The blast occurred on Saturday at the Aman Mela checkpost near Darazinda. The checkpoint is located between Mughal Kot and Darazinda along the Dera Ismail Khan-Quetta Road. According to Dawn, more than 25 rescue personnel, six ambulances and a fire service vehicle took part in the emergency response. The injured were transported to medical facilities in Darazinda and to Mufti Mahmood Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan.
Local authorities have ordered that the injured receive necessary medical treatment. The incident occurred in an area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that has experienced repeated security-related violence in recent years.
