বাংলাThe United States and Japan have taken a rare joint intervention to stabilize the Yen after Japan’s currency fell to its weakest level in four decades.
US President Donald Trump said Washington was supporting Japan as a gesture of friendship and to help the global economy. Japan’s Finance Ministry later confirmed the coordinated Yen intervention.
Following the announcement, the Yen surged by as much as 1.4% against the US dollar, reaching its strongest level in three months. The currency also gained against the euro and British pound.
Japanese officials said they remain in close contact with the US Treasury and are prepared to take further coordinated action if necessary to support the Yen and reduce excessive market volatility.
