Hospital authorities said no replacement has been appointed, leaving the X-ray Department non-operational and forcing patients to seek diagnostic services at private centers.
Patients say the closure of the X-ray Department has increased both treatment costs and inconvenience, as they now have to pay significantly more for essential diagnostic tests.
The hospital has repeatedly requested the Directorate General of Health Services to appoint a new technologist. Authorities are also considering temporary staffing arrangements to restart the X-ray Department.
With around 2,000 patients visiting the hospital daily, healthcare experts say restoring the X-ray Department is essential for ensuring affordable public healthcare services.
