After nearly two decades, BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman returned to his ancestral home, creating an emotional moment centered around the Tareque Rahman Zia Bari visit. The visit took place in Bogura’s Gabtoli উপজেলার Bagbari village.
Family members warmly welcomed him with ফুল, and many became emotional upon seeing him after such a long time. The Tareque Rahman Zia Bari visit quickly turned into a memorable family reunion, with relatives capturing the moment through photos and conversations.
He toured the house and spent time in the room once used by his father, former President Ziaur Rahman. Several personal belongings, including furniture and household items, are still preserved there, reflecting the historical lifestyle of the family.
During the visit, Tarique Rahman expressed gratitude for being able to return to his roots and reconnect with his community. He also interacted with relatives and revisited memories tied to his family’s history.
The house itself is historically significant, dating back over 130 years. Originally constructed in 1895, it still carries architectural elements from that period, despite later renovations.
