Mashiur Rahman, a fourth-year student of Civil Engineering at Presidency University, has secured second place in the AutoCAD Competition at Construct Carnival 2.0, organised by Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET). A total of 110 students from universities across Bangladesh participated in the competition.
Competing against students from different universities, Mashiur Rahman’s achievement has brought recognition to Presidency University. His result demonstrates technical skills, creativity and competitive ability alongside academic knowledge.
According to the department, the preparation behind Mashiur Rahman’s achievement was supported by guidance from Civil Engineering Department Head Md. Tahmid Mostafa, along with preparation, practice and encouragement from lecturers Farzanul Islam Himel and Sheikh Fardin Ahmed.
The Civil Engineering Department regularly encourages students to participate in academic and extracurricular activities to strengthen their technical skills and provide opportunities to showcase their talents at national-level competitions. Mashiur Rahman’s achievement reflects this continued effort.
Securing second place among 110 competitors in the AutoCAD Competition makes Mashiur Rahman’s achievement not only a personal success but also a notable accomplishment for the Civil Engineering Department and Presidency University.
