Lautaro Martinez inspired Argentina to a dramatic World Cup semi-final victory over England with a late winning goal. After the match, he said Mother’s Love means even more to him than reaching a World Cup final.
Speaking to TyC Sports, Lautaro recalled dreaming of scoring such a goal ever since his father bought him his first pair of football boots. However, he stressed that Mother’s Love remains the greatest gift in his life.
The Argentina striker said his mother has supported and cared for him ever since he left home to join Racing Club. According to him, Mother’s Love is more valuable than any goal or even a place in the World Cup final.
Lautaro also revealed that he had predicted his decisive goal to teammates Alexis Mac Allister and Facundo Medina before entering the pitch. The goal marked a special redemption after failing to score during the Qatar World Cup.
He added that becoming the father of two children has changed his life, making him calmer and more mature. Lautaro said he now enjoys every moment and believes Mother’s Love and family support have shaped his journey.
