বাংলাA 31-year-old software engineer was allegedly beaten to death at his home in Delhi following a dispute with his wife over their child’s medicine. The victim, Vinay Gupta, worked as a senior engineer at Adobe in Noida.
Police said Vinay had been married to Rekha for three and a half years and they had four-month-old twins. The couple had reportedly been experiencing marital disputes for some time. The incident began after an argument over medicine for one of their children.
According to the allegations, Rekha called members of her family after the argument and returned home with her father, two brothers, uncle, brother-in-law and another relative. They allegedly attacked Vinay inside the house. In the Delhi software engineer murder case, his family alleged that he was strangled and repeatedly kicked and punched.
Vinay’s mother reportedly witnessed the assault and attempted to intervene. A neighbor later carried the critically injured man outside and rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His family has described the Delhi software engineer murder as a planned killing.
The family also alleged that CCTV cameras inside the home were switched off shortly before the attack. However, footage from an external camera reportedly showed Rekha and her relatives arriving in a vehicle.
