Charles Spencer, the younger brother of Princess Diana, has announced a new book exploring lesser-known details about her life and death ahead of the 30th anniversary of her passing. “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister” is scheduled for international release on September 22.
Publisher Penguin Random House says the book will be translated into 12 languages. The new book on Princess Diana will directly address Diana’s death in a tragic Paris crash in August 1997 and events that followed, according to Spencer.
Charles Spencer said misinformation and false claims about Diana are increasingly circulating as the 30th anniversary of her death approaches. He decided to write the new book on Princess Diana to share truthful and positive memories of his sister.
Spencer also said one of the book’s main aims is to show a new generation how lively and extraordinary Diana was. The new book on Princess Diana is therefore expected to offer a personal perspective on her life and legacy.
Since Diana’s death in 1997, Charles Spencer has maintained a relationship with his nephews, Prince William and Prince Harry. Recently, Harry and his family visited Spencer’s ancestral home and Diana’s burial site. Interest in the new book on Princess Diana is already growing ahead of its release.
