In a post on Truth Social, he clarified that Israel never pushed him toward war decisions, countering speculation about external influence on US foreign policy.
Trump also said that following the October 7 events, his stance on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons has become stronger and more decisive.
He further indicated that diplomatic discussions with Iran are progressing and a potential agreement could be reached in the future.
According to him, a possible deal may include US involvement in monitoring Iran’s nuclear materials under strict international oversight.
However, Iranian officials rejected his remarks. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that decisions regarding key strategic areas like the Hormuz Strait depend on real-world conditions.
Analysts believe this statement adds further tension to already sensitive US-Iran relations and broader Middle East geopolitics.
