Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has officially unveiled a commemorative stamp for Independence Day 2026. This ceremony took place at the Prime Minister’s office in the Secretariat today. The stamp honors the significance of the Great Independence and National Day of Bangladesh. High-ranking officials from the postal department joined the Prime Minister during this event.
Early Office Hours and Cabinet Meeting Rescheduling
The Prime Minister arrived at the Secretariat early at 9:01 AM this morning. He completed several official tasks before the unveiling ceremony of the commemorative stamp for Independence Day. Usually, the cabinet meeting occurs every Thursday of the week. However, due to the national holiday, the meeting has been brought forward to today.
Presence of Ministers and Upcoming Cabinet Session
Postal and Telecommunications Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam was present during the unveiling. Other top officials included Postal Secretary Abdun Naser Khan and the Director General of Posts. A cabinet meeting is also scheduled for 4 PM this afternoon. It will be held at the Cabinet Division conference room under the Prime Minister’s leadership.
