বাংলাThe Hansen Leadership Institute (HLI) is offering young people from Bangladesh and other countries an opportunity to participate in a three-week summer exchange program in the United States. The 2027 program will take place in San Diego, California, with international applications due by January 15, 2027.
According to the Hansen Leadership Institute, the 2027 program will run from June 29 to July 20. The program is fully funded by the Fred J. Hansen Foundation. Selected participants will receive support for international airfare, accommodation, meals and program-related costs. Participants are responsible for passport-related expenses and personal spending.
The program focuses on leadership, international cooperation, communication, conflict resolution and peacebuilding. HLI says the three-week program brings young people from different parts of the world together for intensive training and cross-cultural interaction.
For the 2027 program, applicants must be between 20 and 25 years old on July 1, 2027. Applicants must have completed at least one year of college or university at the time of application. Recent graduates from 2025 or 2026 who are not currently enrolled in college or university may also apply.
Summer Exchange Program applicants will also need an academic reference. English proficiency is verified through the academic referee as part of the recommendation process. Applicants who have never traveled to the United States may receive preference.
The funding package includes international round-trip airfare, room and board, program costs, health insurance, transportation and program materials. Participants will also receive a certificate of participation after completing the program.
All application materials and references for international applicants must be submitted by 11:55 PM Pacific Time on January 15, 2027. The official HLI website states that applications cannot be edited after submission.
