বাংলাTwo people have lost their lives and at least six others were injured when a Dhaka-bound sleeper bus crashed into a stationary sand-laden truck on the side of the highway. The Birampur road accident occurred at around 6:00 AM on Sunday (March 29) in the Chandipur area of the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj highway under Birampur Upazila.
Identify of One Deceased Confirmed
According to reports, one of the deceased passengers has been identified as Mosharraf Hossain Babu, son of Khabir Uddin from Srinagar Upazila in Munshiganj district. The identity of the other victim is yet to be established. The impact of the collision was severe, completely mangling the front section of the luxury bus and causing significant panic among the remaining passengers.
Rescue Operations and Medical Treatment
Upon receiving news of the Birampur road accident, police and fire service personnel rushed to the scene. Inspector (Investigation) Ataur Rahman of Birampur Police Station confirmed the recovery of the bodies and stated that the process of identifying the second victim is ongoing. The six injured passengers were rescued and admitted to the Birampur Upazila Health Complex, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the crash.
